Pedicuida – Foot Clinic in Coimbra
Foot care in Coimbra, explained in English
Pedicuida opened in September 2019 as the first clinic in Coimbra dedicated entirely to the foot. Since then we have treated more than 3,500 patients from Coimbra and the surrounding region – fungal nails, ingrown toenails, corns and calluses, plantar warts, heel and forefoot pain, and diabetic foot care.
Whether you live in Coimbra, study at the university or are just passing through, you can book, ask questions and have your treatment plan explained to you in English. We tell you how many sessions you need and what it will cost before any treatment starts.
Treatments and prices
What we treat most often
Fungal nails
Onychomycosis · fungos nas unhas
Thick, yellowed or brittle nails caused by a fungal infection. We treat them with laser sessions, combined with care advice so the infection does not come back.
Ingrown toenail
Onychocryptosis · unha encravada
For a one-off episode we treat it during the consultation. If it keeps coming back, we offer a quick procedure under local anaesthetic that removes the edge of the nail and stops it growing back. The nail keeps a natural look.
Corns and calluses
Chiropody · calos e calosidades
Painful hard skin and corns removed with sterile instruments, plus advice on footwear and pressure points so they take longer to return.
Home visits
Quiropodia ao domicílio
For people with reduced mobility in the municipality of Coimbra: corns, calluses and thickened nails treated at home, with sterilised equipment and the same care as in the clinic.
